Ma Gu’s Pond
Green Plains of lush fields
Green rolling foot hills
Green, Deep blue green mountains
far up the Eastern trail
The Temple of Lao Tzu.
On the side
Green Pond of Ma Gu.
Ripples Sifting Sand
Mirage is obscure.
Ride the waves and shout in amazement,
Ignore the fools who ladle the ocean
And laugh at rivers and lakes.
Having a shower of sunshine
And bathing in the moonlight,
I will take a boat.
Can I catch six turtles?
My fishing rod touches the coral.
Ask goddess Ma Gu about fertile fields,
And waters clear and shallow.
Misty air floats up to the sky,
The sky reaches the water.
